LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police arrested a man in possession of multiple drugs and for having a toy gun within city limits.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, an officer observed a beige Oldsmobile 88 in a streetside parking stall with 37-year-old Jason Pratt in the driver’s seat.
LPD says the officer ran the Oldsmobile’s license plates and found they belonged to another vehicle. The officer then contacted Pratt and observed two open bottles of liquor and a realistic pellet gun inside the vehicle.
Officers searched Pratt and found a small knife, a baggie of cocaine and a large sum of cash. During the search of the vehicle, officers found 7 “shooter” liquor bottles, a bottle of Schnapps, several baggies and containers holding suspected cocaine, a .357 magnum revolver, additional rounds, psilocybin mushrooms, suspected LSD squares and several items associated with drug sales.
Officers believed Pratt to be under the influence and conducted a DUI investigation, which showed he was under the legal limit.
LPD arrested Pratt for 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of a firearm during a drug violation and possession of money during a drug violation.
Additional charges for Pratt include possession of a toy gun within city limits, fictitious plates and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the city’s ordinance on toy guns, “It shall be unlawful for any person to carry about his or her person any toy pistol, toy gun, or other toy arm or arms, or slingshot, out of or by which any leaden or other dangerous missiles may be discharged.”
